What makes Modern Lux Photography different than other studios? We believe it is the level of detail we put into our sets. Especially our children's sets. We LOVE our kids. When our family was younger, we scheduled photos at commercial studios that were packed full of excited kids and many families in the waiting room. Not only were the studios running late most of the time, but my kids (who were well groomed when we arrived), looked like they just came off a roller coaster by the time it was our turn. It was very stressful and became a complete turn-off to get photos done at those crowded locations. However, when you schedule time with us it is really about getting the best from your child, with one-on-one sessions (one family at a time), plenty of space, lots of props, beautiful backgrounds and quality time with a patient and experienced photographer. Children love interactive sets, items they can touch, throw and climb on. Through our experience, we have found that children love when they are dressed in something fun, and our parents appreciate our whimsical outfits, This is why we do our best to design the costumes to go with the sets! Of course parents have an option to bring their own designed t-shirts or costumes.
We hope you enjoy our kissing booth this February! The girl's outfit has been design by us and is provided for the session, we suggest boys bring a white shirt and jeans, we have the tie! Treat your child to something more than just a backdrop, give us a try. These moments are special let us help you keep them that way. Gloria is cooking up something very special for March!

Happy New Year 2014

Happy New Year! Last year was a busy year for us. We really slacked on posting in the blog and updated images. Last year was filled with the birth of many newborns, birthdays, cake smashes, anniversaries, engagements and weddings. We made it through 45 mini sessions during Halloween and multiple Christmas sessions and we are ready to do it all again. We plan on having many new creative sets for the kids to enjoy this year and as usual custom birthday sets. We hope to enjoy more weddings this year!

The Four Seasons of Weddings Events

Gloria and I recently had the pleasure of attending the Boulder Springs Fours Seasons of Weddings Event in New Braunfels. We were not the official photographers, but the event was so beautiful we couldn't help but ask permission to whip out our camera's and bring beautiful ideas and images back to our own clients! Anita graciously allowed us to do so! What a treat! The vendors were amazing! It was intimate and well done! My favorite part was...all of it! The food was delightful, everything from shrimp cocktails to salmon. The wedding cakes were amazing. I personally have never seen cakes decorated with such creativity. The florals and the stationary brought a simple yet classy touch to each table, I wouldn't dare go without proper stationary after seeing it displayed on the tables. It just completed the the look. We are thankful to Boulder Springs for allowing us to come and take photographs in their event!

Modern Lux is almost 1 year old! We are happy to say that we are making our way through our first year of business. It has been a blessing! We have made new friends, met new businesses and networked our way through San Antonio and we have only just begun!
